Emea Gsc Sustainability Lead

ROLE SUMMARY

The EMEA Supply Chain Sustainability Lead is responsible for the design and execution of Pfizer’s environmental sustainability strategy and initiatives within the EMEA Global Supply Chain organization in alignment with the Pfizer global strategy and targets.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead sustainability EMEA team and oversee the delivery of sustainability targets and best practices deployment
- Design EMEA’s sustainability strategy and implementation plan, aligned with global targets to reach Net-Zero by 2040
- Oversight of sustainability programs and projects
- Engage with internal (GSC Councils) and external stakeholders to lead/support sustainability projects and initiatives
- Act as PMO for supply chain sustainability programs and projects, hold accountable for deliverables
- Develop governance documents and influence cross-functional teams in the region
- Delivery of internal trainings on sustainability, enhance sustainability awareness, share best practices
- Engage with NGOs and other sustainability interest groups to help deliver sustainability ambition
- Monitor emerging legislation, trends and reporting frameworks on sustainability
- Represent area of activity as required in EMEA Supply Chain and in global forums/projects

**Qualifications**:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a sustainability focused role
- Knowledge of sustainability and legislative requirements and best practices
- Passion for sustainability
- Ability to collect and analyze data, conduct research and identify opportunities to further supply chain sustainability ambition
- The individual must be fluent in written and spoken English. Written and presentational skills essential - must be able to make complex issues clear and concise; able to present issues clearly to all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead for simplicity, pro-active and can manage with high degree of independence and comfortable to operate in matrix.
- Ability to lead for growth, clear priority setting and work in a complex environment, able to balance risk and take decisions to deliver results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional sustainability education, training and/or certification through professional organizations
- Additional supply chain education, training and/or certification through online courses or professional supply chain organizations
- Demonstrate strong and mature leadership behaviors with (team leader) and without formal authority, ideally within a virtual (multi-location) team.
- Track record of building and managing strong teams, emphasizing both team performance and development.
- Excellent logical reasoning, analytical skills and IT literacy vital, experience in Pfizer ERP and SC systems is critical
- Analytical skills are highly important - strong ability to organize and structure data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

As a regular part of the role responsibilities, this role will interact with Global Sustainability Lead, Regional Sustainability Councils, Pfizer Global EHS, senior PifzerGlobalSupply/GSC stakeholders, working in close partnership with the markets, Above Market Planning HUB Organizations, Regional Supply Chain Leads and Global Digital/PGS teams.

International travel required. (20% travel approx.)
