Edesign Quality Engineer

MISSION
Assure the fulfilment of customer and Ficosa quality requirements at each development stage according to FDS / FRS procedure.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Ensure together with the Product Engineer and the Product Engineering Master the fulfilment of product quality requirements established with the Customer, in accordance with Ficosa Development / Research System (FDS/FRS) and SPICE ** methodologies:
Participate in the design reviews, highlighting the quality history from similar designs

Define the Prototype/pre-launch control plan for final product and participate in the validation of the components’ one; design control gauges and participate in their validation.

Make close follow-up of prototypes assembly/delivery and ensure that the prototypes meet the Customer requirements.

During the development of the product, guide the product FMEA and ensure its “healthiness”.

Ensure that all problem-solving activities follows the established methodology.

Define together with the customer the final product reports, report quality status, define and follow-up deviations action plan.

Lead & manage validation Design Validation Plan (DVP) and Product Validation Tests (PVT), analysing results and finding the necessary countermeasures together with the Product Design Engineer.

Work with quality manufacturing teams in the product industrialization, such as PFMEA and Production Control Plan activities.

Together with the project team, support the competitiveness of the business unit improving costs, quality and product performance, adopting new technical solutions coming from competitors’ analysis and benchmark.

Lead technical Lessons Learned definition with the team and ensure its correct register in the Database.

Monitor the project / product robustness (based on FDS / FRS / SPICE ** requirements) and prepare together with the team, the annual internal 3Q3 audit.

**Participate in Request For Quotation activities**: compliance matrix, quality history, quality target, etc...

Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering Ficosa's values.

Provide the team with the necessary means to comply with OHSE rules, ensuring they are properly used.

Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

**Academic background**:
Bachelor in engineering (mechanical, electronic, material, etc)

**Languages**:
Advanced English (written & spoken)

**Experience**:
Internship in automotive industry

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

**Additional training**:
Problem-Solving methodologies, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Planning (APQP), SPICE**, Functional Safety, Design of experiments, IMDS, Six Sigma, Statistical experiments or High Voltage would be of additional value
