**ROLE SUMMARY**:
The British College of Gavà is a vibrant, forward-thinking international school offering the English National Curriculum in a warm, inclusive, and innovative environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated **Upper Primary Teacher** to teach **Years 5 and 6**, supporting students as they develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transition successfully into secondary education.-
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
-Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners.-Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and resilience.-Support the pastoral development of students, building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.-Contribute to curriculum planning, cross-curricular projects, and school-wide initiatives.-Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.-Maintain high professional standards in safeguarding, communication, and classroom management.-
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
A **degree in Primary Education** or equivalent, and **PGCE/QTS** (or an internationally recognised teaching qualification).-Strong experience teaching **upper primary (Years 5-6)** within the English National Curriculum.-A passion for delivering **creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons**.-Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.-Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.-A collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching and school life.-Experience in international school settings is desirable but not essential.-
