We're looking for a senior back-end data software engineer to join our Product Catalog Team. As a back-end data software engineer, you will add to our action-oriented, startup-minded culture as well as assist us in driving product initiatives forward while upholding our high engineering standards

**In this role you will have several distinct responsibilities and priorities**:

- You will be accountable for our Catalog Foundation end-to-end. This spans architecture, data modeling, data pipelines, testing, implementation, security, deployment, and operability.
- You will be expected to have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to work with engineers, product managers and designers as well as business and finance team members.
- You will be expected to be trustworthy, open, and honest, while always respectful of others.
- You will be expected to follow and promote best practices for professional software development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, automated testing, operations and metrics.
- You will be expected to deliver incremental business value on a continuous basis in order to learn quickly and make adjustments as needed.
- You will be expected to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the back end as we continue to push technology forward.
- We work in Python and Elixir. However, languages can be learned. We put more emphasis on your general engineering skill and willingness to learn than knowledge of a particular language or framework.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Expected salary range is $161,900 - $188,670
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is $ 50,000 BDI Bonus Annually

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent working experience
- 6+ years of professional experience in software development
- Strong data warehouse modeling skills (Dimensional Modeling or Data Vault Modeling)
- Strong programming skills
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based platform capabilities
- Ability to learn quickly
- Obsessive commitment to quality and continual improvement
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Help fill any gaps on the team not specifically defined by this role
