- The role:
We are looking for a Wind Power Engineer to join our Engineering & Construction team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Wind Power Engineer is responsible for providing expertise support and ensures all Sonnedix projects are well developed, meet technical quality standards, as well as local and international regulations.
The Wind Power Engineer provides technical support to the internal teams focused on the Wind Power projects development. They lead the technical due diligences (internal and external) during Wind power project development and/or acquisitions, focusing among others on resource validation, environmental feasibility, WTG technology selection, layout optimization, yield energy estimation, WTG + BOP Capex estimation, WTG technology follow up, producing technical reports, review and verify the technical elements owner's requirements for EPC contracts.
Desirable skills:
- Degree in Electrical Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with background in Renewable
Energy and power systems
- Proven experience in Wind Power project using WindPro, WasP or similar softwares,
ideally knowledge of PV, energy storage and hybridization/collocation in Europe and
Chile
- Good knowledge of International Standards: IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA.
- Willingness to travel
- Business English
