**About the role**:
We’re looking for a Head of Procurement to build and lead our procurement function from the ground up. This is a great opportunity to create structure, implement scalable processes, and drive operational excellence in a high-growth, tech-driven environment.

This isn’t a purely strategic role — we’re looking for a player-coach: someone who can set the vision and roll up their sleeves to get things done. You’ll be responsible for establishing best-in-class procurement practices, delivering measurable cost and efficiency improvements, and helping Mews scale with control, speed, and confidence.

**Your mission, should you choose to accept it**:

- Design and implement procurement policies, tools, and workflows to bring structure and consistency to how we purchase across the business.
- Establish a Global Procurement Policy and ensure company-wide alignment and adoption.
- Drive supplier enablement and lead the implementation of a **Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system, ideally Coupa**, to support scalable and efficient procurement operations.
- Manage key purchasing activities day-to-day - from supplier onboarding to reviewing purchase requests and negotiating contracts.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for internal teams, providing clarity and guidance on procurement processes.
- Balance strategic initiatives with tactical execution - no task is too big or too small.
- Own key supplier relationships, lead contract negotiations, and secure terms that deliver long-term value.
- Assess supplier risk, performance, and compliance while identifying opportunities for innovation and value creation.
- Implement tools and KPIs to track procurement effectiveness, cost optimization, and vendor health.
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tech, and department leaders to support procurement needs and build scalable operations.
- Champion change management and ensure adoption of procurement practices across the organization.
- Act as a business partner to teams making high impact purchasing decisions.
- Lead and mentor a small (but growing) procurement team.
- Cultivate a high-performance, high-ownership culture focused on accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example, coaching junior team members and setting the tone for excellence and execution.

**You’ll be a great fit if you bring the below with you**:

- A true specialist in procurement, with significant experience in high-growth or tech environments.
- Demonstrated success building procurement functions or frameworks from the ground up in a startup or scale-up tech environment.
- Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, contract negotiation, supplier management, and risk assessment.
- Strong command of procurement technologies — experience with Coupa or similar P2P systems is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to execute and lead simultaneously — you enjoy being in the details when needed.
