**Introduction to Role**:
Join our dynamic BioPharmaceuticals Medical (BPM) team, where we strive to provide healthcare decision-makers around the world with the evidence and confidence they need on AstraZeneca therapies. As the Senior Director, Health Data Implementation, you will be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative real world data (RWD) initiatives globally. You will collaborate with a diverse range of scientific, technical, and business experts to ensure scientific quality, build necessary capabilities at AstraZeneca, and drive the timely delivery of RWD to address critical evidence needs for internal and external stakeholders.

**Accountabilities**:
You will lead the implementation of RWD platforms across countries, drive the strategic alignment of RWD initiatives to medical and cross-functional priorities, and foster strategic external partnerships. You will collaborate with technical teams to build analytical tools and develop visual analytics. You will also evaluate and assess strengths and weaknesses of external data sources for each therapeutic area to continuously improve RWD initiatives. Your role will involve mentoring and oversight of other RWD leaders within BPM Evidence and other functional areas.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Business and/or medical science degree with commercial experience
- Expertise in RWD generation, delivery and translation to impact clinical practice
- Experience in healthcare or biopharma industry, with a strong preference for experience in R&I and CVRM therapeutic areas
- Robust leadership skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate at an Executive level
- Experience in product marketing and deployment
- Ability to lead and/or engage cross-functional working groups and teams to deliver results
- Proven experience of engaging with and leveraging insights from external customers
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to analyse complex data and situations and develop a range of options/solutions
- Successful record of creating and deploying digital content & channels

**Desirable Skills/Experience**:

- Demonstrated ability to bring ideas to action in product launch, real world data, market shaping/ expansion, unbranded / disease awareness HCP campaigns
- Experience collaborating with IT teams to drive technical delivery of new visualization platforms for internal and external use
