Backend Django Engineer

We are looking for a motivated, mission-aligned engineer who can help drive our impact-oriented vision and join a great team of technology professionals. We work with Scrum, the team entirely owns the process, drives improvements and shapes our day to day together.

Our platform is built with Django, Next.js and PostgreSQL. It runs on AWS, which we manage with Terraform.

Our backend engineer joins this team and carries out these day to day activities after the onboarding period:

- Collaborate with our Product Manager, Designer, and Engineers to shape the backend services/APIs that power our frontend use cases.
- Develop APIs and backend services for frontend consumption.
- Liaise with our Data Engineering function to ensure proper data replication for BI purposes and accurate data modeling.
- Improve our DevOps and CI/CD solutions, actively optimizing our deployment processes.
- Collaborate in managing our infrastructure (Terraform + AWS), provision instances as needed, and work with the team to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- Monitor the performance of our services and intervene as necessary.
- Actively implement improvements from retrospectives, driving impactful changes in how we work.
- Participate in architectural discussions and propose ideas on how to leverage opportunities with other teams, such as Data Engineering and AI.

**Languages**: Excellent command of the English language is a requirement.
