**Job Purpose**:

- Ensuring that Terex AWP remain the market leader within the AWP sector by providing a high level of technical service to our customers, Authorised Service Providers (ASP) and Dealers_

**Main Tasks / Responsibilities**:

- Offer comprehensive technical support for ‘in service’ Terex AWP/Genie and other OEM machines
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow Technical Services, Sales and team members within other business functions
- Gain a comprehensive commercial understanding of the Terex AWP strategy and route to market and customer base. Through this awareness identify and support commercial opportunities within the Technical Services team
- Perform mandatory inspections/ maintenance on all AWP machinery to local standards
- Where appropriate undertake Thorough Examination and certification under the LOLER regulations
- Service, Repair, Calibration and software updates of machines at customer locations / sites or Terex facilities as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specifications and company policy
- Carry out assessments/inspections and report findings (including BOM, estimated Labour and plan of action) on AWP machinery
- Interact with fellow team members to ensure accurate and timely sharing of information both technical and commercial
- Notify appropriate team member of any defective or unsafe equipment
- Inspect and test wiring and circuitry and replace faulty parts
- Carry out basic quality checks and support the quality programme though closed loop reporting
- Accurate and timely completion of all relevant reports and documentation in support of standard operating procedures
- Work flexibly to perform any other tasks required by Terex AWP that are within the employee’s skills and abilities pursuant to the position
- Ensure compliance with Terex AWP processes and procedures and remain compliant with all local laws and requirements
- Deliver exceptional levels of customer service embracing the Service Excellence philosophy across all of our customers and take a natural lead in progressing this within the business
- Liaise and interact with customers and suppliers; as a Terex AWP representative always providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times
- Occasional requirement to undertake other duties, including workshop or tasks associated with the level of role and responsibility
- The position will require the job holder to be home based, you are required to have a flexible approach and will be expected to spend time away from your home base when necessary. The position will also contain an element of cross border travel (possibly at short notice).

**Person Specification**

**Education / Qualifications**:

- High/Medium technical certification in a background of machinery, electromechanics, automotive
- Full Driving Licence for the region they are employed within
- **_ Valid CAP Certification_** (IPAF Competent Assessed Person) - required for the UK market
- AWP machine operators’ licence - IPAF, Genie, or local equivalent
- Valid forklift licence (preferred)
- Genie technical certificates (preferred)

**Skills**:

- English language skills are mandatory due to the international setup of the Terex Services team
- Time served Apprentice with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical background is essential
- Capital equipment/plant equipment experience is essential
- Previous experience of working with AWP products
- Previous experience and an understanding of the rental channel
- Confident speaker and able to demonstrate leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability and willingness to undergo in-house training on all products, processes and operating systems
- Flexible approach and ability to accommodate and support change
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to organise tasks and objectives for self and team members
- Comfortable working on your own whilst ensuring you remain an integral part of the team
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

**Preferred Previous Experience**:

- Minimum of three years’ experience gained working on AWP’s in the Powered Access Industry
- Previous experience working in plant, diesel engines, auto electrics, hydraulics, diagnostic fault finding with lifting equipment and servicing HGV’s
- Experience of coaching or supporting other team members is desirable
