**Context And Mission**

The objective of this position is to lead BSC work in HEU NimbleAI and SMARTY, and contribute to the other hardware-related projects such as ISOLDE and AR2SEC, and other projects now under submission. Also, the person in this position will manage the work of a 5-7 people group on hardware design and FPGA prototyping.

**Key Duties**
- Collaborate in the development of HW/SW safety support for automotive, space, and avionics processors or research processors as part of a team
- Learn and participate in verification and validation activities of the developments performed
- Coordinate a hardware design team of 5-7 peopls

**Requirements**:

- Education
- PhD in Electronics, Computer Sciences, Telecommunications or Automation
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Practical experience researching on functional safety and reliability HW/SW solutions
- Skilled on digital processor or microcontroller designs
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Knowledge on processor microarchitecture (e.g. Arm, Infineon, Intel, or AMD processors among others) is welcome
- Experience with FPGA use and debug tools is also welcome
- Competences
- Problem-solving, pro-active, result-oriented work attitude
- Good communication skills including a good command of the English language (written and spoken)

**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: March 2025
