The role:
The PV - Quality and Commissioning Engineer belongs to the Global Engineering and Technical Support (GETS) team, which is part of Engineering and Construction (E&C). The GETS focuses on quality and commissioning support for utility scale solar PV projects under construction or under acquisition. The PV - Quality and Commissioning Engineer works independently, has a strong service orientation with regard to the construction and operation of solar plants and visits sites on a regular basis.
The PV - Quality and Commissioning engineer also supports cross-functional teams to improve the quality and commissioning related processes; support the engineering team with the review of engineering documents; organize and coordinate the entire process of plant commissioning and quality inspections in close cooperation with the project management team, follow up on the schedule for commissioning and inspections and complete the progress reporting for all commissioning activities; organize and coordinate participation in and reporting of inspections, audits and tests both in the factory (FAT) and on construction sites (SAT); review, verify, follow-up, release and compile the professional and contractual quality and commissioning documentation for projects; inspect workmanship, documentation and track quality issues; inspect and monitor the contractual execution of the commissioning activities and assess results of commissioning tests against acceptance criteria and track incoming documents for correctness and completion.
Desirable skills:

- Hands-on experience with Quality Management and PV testing methodologies
- A degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, specializing in renewable energies, and a track record of onsite solar PV engineering / commissioning
- Knowledge of the main PV equipment models, technologies (Modules, inverters, trackers/fixed structures, etc.) and and MV (switchgears and transformers), of their commissioning requirements and usual procedures
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Strong technical language skills in spoken and written English, other language skills a plus
