Construction Manager Spain

In this role you will contribute to achieving our goal of building a European network of 1,000 large fast-charging stations in prime locations where electric drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind.

**Your role**

Fastned is expanding its network of fast charging stations in Spain and is looking to strengthen the local team with a **Construction Manager**. As Construction Manager you will be an integral part of an experienced and international team and you will be responsible for delivering high quality charging stations across Spain. In this role, you are working in close cooperation with the architects, the project manager and the network development manager as well as with our external construction partners.

Your responsibilities include the planning of construction (checking execution drawings, defining specifications, and scheduling both works and delivery of goods), change management and problem solving during the execution, and the supervision of works (quality, health and safety, site acceptance & final accounts). As such, you will frequently be on our construction sites, where you will be able to demonstrate negotiation skills, commercial judgement, setting high quality standards and the ability to manage a larger number of projects and stakeholders in parallel.

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

- You hold a relevant degree, e.g. in civil engineering (or an equivalent experience);
- A minimum of three years of previous experience in a similar role (preferably at a construction or civil works company);
- Ability to work in a structured manner and prioritise your tasks efficiently;
- Willingness to travel within Spain;
- (Near-)native level of Spanish and fluency in English are a must;
- Driver’s licence;
- You feel connected to Fastned's mission: to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers

- Experience with construction along highways.
