**What we offer with the role of Capex Procurement Project Lead**
The core focus of this role is to Lead Project related procurement activities, in close partnership with Bunge entities, identify and promote best-practices, improve procurement value contribution via total cost of ownership savings, risk mitigation, supplier innovation for dedicated capital projects. This position offers the opportunity for substantial career development and will work closely with international colleagues in Industrial Operations, Project Management, Legal and Procurement/Category Management in an exciting growing environment.
**Responsibilities, not limited to**
- Build and maintain formal bid packages for bidding processes on all required materials and services, aligned with our standards and Project requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations and conform execution of the same.
- Lead costs, and terms and conditions agreements with Suppliers and Contractors based on Bunge’s standards, and in partnership with Project Management and Legal.
- Support with governance of key Capex projects in the region and assistance with pan-regional initiatives - like supplier development for local/regional service providers or supplier relationship management for strategic vendors.
- Receive and review requisitions, examining for correctness and verifying budget availability, in collaboration with Financial Controlling and accurate authority for requests.
- Research and qualify suppliers and ensure that suppliers meet or exceed Bunge quality and project standards, including documentation, workmanship, cost and schedule. Support supplier related Quality, Change and Claims Management.
- Process quotations; review commercial terms of quotations and prepare analysis of conformity to Bunge standards and provide negotiating strategy recommendations. Prepare quotation overviews and documentation required for clients.
- Expedite execution of Purchase Orders and ensures timely delivery, including support of logistic activities
- Maintain Project Procurement Plan and consult Engineering and the project office on required purchases
- Supervise supply chain and supplier performance; while maintaining constant communication with suppliers to identify process, product and service improvement opportunities; seek, document and realize cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities.
This new position is based in Barcelona and part of growing regional team. It will report to our Europe & Asia Procurement Industrial Lead, located in Warsaw. We consider applicants based in the Amsterdam Area
**What to bring to the role**
An analytical and strategic mind, with excellent partner management and influencing skills. You are collaborative and love to define strategies and implement them, while assessing risks is your second nature.
What else do we expect?
- University degree
- preferably with a major in civil engineering and/or business administration
- Strong experience in a similar position, preferably in food industry or FMCG production, purchasing medium to big value projects; experience with sourcing platforms, contracting, running tenders, supplier selection
- Proficient in English; French skills are a highly desired and any other European language is beneficial, particularly Spanish, Dutch or German.
- Strong presentation and project management skills; Ideally with a Project Management certification.
- Self-starting personality, structured, able to take fast, but well grounded decisions in a very sophisticated, intercultural matrix environment
- Available for occasional travel across the region
- up to 30%
