It's about people, planet, and passion. We are looking for a Research Analyst, that loves collecting, collating, and disseminating data. As the Single Source of Truth (SSoT) of data, you’ll support the growth engine of Yugo with key and up-to-date information needed to build credibility and enable data-driven decision-making. The role will also actively support all other departments in their market research needs through strong analysis and one depository of data for all. The BD team has a privileged place at the “front end” of the business so we are #Futureshapers who want to positively influence and shape our business and the lives of others, students and Yugoers. You are a self-starter and are autonomous, at least enough to work across multiple time zones and jurisdictions. Crucially you are passionate about and energized by new projects and creating growth and contributing to the business's success. This role is necessary to support a data-driven commercial approach to growth in existing markets as well as supporting New Market Entry. Through a combination of published data (industry reports etc), third-party data sources (College House, Axiometrics, Student Crowd etc) and self-initiated research (Primary and Secondary) support BD and the wider Yugo team with market (supply, demand, trend) intelligence in both current and new markets globally. This role will likewise support our ESG objectives in research and thought leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes to contribute new ideas and is willing to put in the work to build their career. While desired, previous market analyst experience is not required. What is required is a "can do" attitude and enthusiasm. The Research Analyst will undertake research and analysis - gathering data on the industry and competitive landscape to provide valuable insight to fuel growth and aid data-driven decision making. The Research Analyst will demonstrate sound methodological approaches to data gathering - creating in-depth, data-rich reports with a user-friendly and digestible output. Key Responsibilities: - Collect data via primary (internal data: secondary source research methods - Analyzing data to uncover industry trends, including competitor offers and pricing strategies. - Provide BD department with supply (PBSA and substitute), demand (domestic student trends, international students, etc) economic (macro and micro) and trend data reports - Create infographics to support pitch documents (including student heatmaps etc) - Effectively synthesising publicly available research to the BD team and presenting strategic findings and recommendations - Ability to consolidate and present data in a logical and consistent manner - Prepare market entry papers - Create a Single Source of Truth (SSoT) for market intelligence to share with all other departments. - Source internal data from all other departments especially: - Sales & marketing > e.g. Yugo and market pricing shifts - Operations > e.g. benchmarking of contract costs - Finance > e.g. global review and benchmarking of operational expenditure costs - ESG data & research Experience and Skills Required: - Analytical & curious mind - Ability to work with guidance but not micro-management - Very high level of spoken and written English. Other languages desirable (especially Spanish and/or German) - Ability to analyze data beyond the first order getting to underlying drivers and trends and not just surface level observations - Sets objectives and key results (OKRs) and pushes self and others to reach milestones. - Excellent written communication skills - Occasional ability to travel to domestic and international locations - Proficient in relevant tools for data analysis and the usual Microsoft suite **Desirable**: - Experience with data management & analysis systems (e.g. SSPS) - University degree not essential but could be useful - Experience in Primary & Secondary research techniques (qual and quant) - Additional languages: Spanish, German, Italian.
