Description
This position of Graphics Manager is required to oversee and assist in the development, implementation and testing of the television graphics package for the Host Broadcast coverage of the all the Olympic Games.
Duties
- The specific duties and responsibilities may vary from time to time and adapt to the needs of the business. However, the main duties should encompass the following:
- Assist in the planning and operation phases of the OBS Olympic Graphics project and oversight of the members of the Graphics Team.
- Develop, build, test and document sport graphics packages under the direction of the Senior Graphics Manager.
- Train and support Olympic Games-time staff in the operation of the OBS character generators.
- Operate OBS character generators in live and non-live capacity at Games-time.
- In the absence of the Senior Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the Graphics Operations Coordination Team in Madrid and executing the various projects for delivery and liaising directly with the Head of Department.
Experience
- Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in operating or developing television graphics, with 3+ years in a Team Lead/ Supervisory position.
- Suitable tertiary qualification.
- Familiarity with VizArtist or equivalent character generator design tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent written and oral English is a must.
- Aptitude to design, develop, implement and test integrated systems.
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, both independently and as a team member.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail oriented.
**Workplace & Environment**
- LIVE sport television production experience is necessary.
- Passion for sport will be taken into account.
- Availability to travel internationally.
- Position requires relocation to Madrid.
