Principal Cloud Architect

As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership in the designing and implementation of cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring they meet the highest standards for security, scalability, and performance through high-impact client interaction. By empowering Thoughtworker engagement through cultivating high-performing teams, you will continuously deliver undeniable value to our clients, contributing to the growth and scale of our evolving business.

**Job responsibilities**:

- You will design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, leveraging expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions like Mongo Atlas, Kafka and SaaS offerings
- You will utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments
- You will Implement and enforce Azure security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, network security, and compliance requirements
- You will design and configure Azure networking solutions
- You will manage and optimize cloud storage services (e.g., Azure Blob Storage) and database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Oracle, Redis,)
- You will collaborate with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
- You will stay up-to-date on the latest cloud technologies and best practices
- You will add value to our delivery and how it maps to client vision, goals, and initiatives
- You will lead Infrastructure as code methods into practice and work how best to influence the team and your stakeholders

**Job qualifications**:
**Technical Skills**:

- You have a proven track record as a Cloud Architect or similar senior cloud role as a SME
- You have extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
- You have a strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices
- You have a deep knowledge of Azure security best practices, IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance requirements
- You have a proven ability to design and implement scalable and resilient cloud solutions
- You have hands-on experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Swarm)
- You have experience with DevOps principles and practices

- You thrive in situations where you are given little to no direction and have the ability to lead, organize and deliver commitments on time and within budget

- You are fluent in spoken and written in Spanish and English
