- Barcelona**What We Are Looking for**:

- ISGlobal is seeking a Technician who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project “Contribution of lifestyle to brain resilience in aging and Alzheimer’s disease”. The overall project goal is to identify risk and protective factors (including mental health and lifestyles) associated with imaging markers of aging and dementia and neurocognitive symptoms.
- The project will be carried out within the NCDs and Environment Programme at ISGlobal. The Programme aims to study the causes and mechanisms of development and progression of NCDs, covering the entire life course from prenatal to late adult life in high and low-middle income countries. We focus on the following determinants: environmental (air pollution, built and natural environment, light exposure, water chemical pollution, climate and global environmental crisis), occupational (occupational exposures, work shift, occupational heat stress), lifestyle (sleep, physical activity, diet), and genetic and molecular (genomics, epigenomics, molecular biomarkers) factors; and on the following diseases: cancers, respiratory, allergic, cardiometabolic (diabetes, obesity) and renal diseases, and neurological and mental health disorders, as well as multimorbidity and interaction of NCDs with infections (COVID-19).**Key Responsibilities**:

- Handle multimodal data: including demographics, lifestyles, mental health and imaging biomarkers
- Harmonized databases with data from difference sources
- Perform statistical and neuroimaging analyses with multimodal data (e.g. R software or similar, SPM software or similar)
- Project documentation: record the key details of the work that are required to implement it successfully
- Attend regular meetings with the team members

**Specific Duties**:

- Statistical analyses linking biomarkers with risk and protective factors for aging and Alzheimer’s
- Neuroimaging analyses linking risk and protective factors with brain structure and function.
- Multimodal data harmonization: including demographics, lifestyles, mental health, societal level factors and imaging biomarkers,
- Literature review and scientific writing

**Training and experience /Qualifications**:

- Master degree in Science: neuroscience, biomedicine, dementia or similar.

**Specific Requirements**:

- Experience working in the dementia/neurodegenerative field, programming skills, experience with Matlab, R software (or similar), and imaging softwares such as SPM (or similar).

**Selection Process**:
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
