Finance Accounting Generalist

**Join our Innovative Team**
As Financial Accounting Generalist at Aptiv, you will play a key role in our Pamplona Finance function, reporting directly to our Senior Finance Supervisor.
**Please note, this in an onsite position.**
**Your Role**:
- Provides support in month/year end Accounting closings
- Analyze monthly financial statements in US GAAP
- Manage monthly Balance sheet and P&L submission to Corporate in HFM and FDM
- Provides support to the controlling team on closing activities in accordance with Aptiv policies.
- Coordinate financial month end closure activities with Corporate.
- Manage relationships with Central Areas on vendor, customer, collections, banking, and tax matters
- Point of contact for annual audits (E&Y) and internal audits, providing required documentation and responding to queries
- Monthly accounts reconciliation (CARS).
- Monitor and report Investments to Corporate and coordinate with local Engineering team on investment related matters.
- Manage, track, and maintain the Leasing module for correct accounting
- Prepare ad-hoc financial information as required by management
- Responsible for the launch of the payroll process under the supervision and control of the HR area
- Control of accounting report related to the payroll process and supervision of the process of Social Security charges and Tax payments
**Your background**:
- 2-3 years experience working within Finance related role
- Bachelors/Masters or equivalent in Business, Economics, Law or similar
- Qualified Accountant certification (ACA or equivalent)
- Understanding of US GAAP (preferred) or IFRS.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and models.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels.
- Fluent in Spanish and Business level English language skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP or similar would be an advantage.
