Junior Signal Processing Engineer

**Your mission**:
The Junior Signal Processing Engineer (JSPE) works with the rest of the Medical & Science team, specifically with the Senior Signal Processing Engineer, to validate and develop the next generation of our set of digital biomarkers, while helping the company realise the transformation of healthcare through digital innovation. JSPE supports the development of signal processing algorithms from IMU sensor signals, in order to attain reliable digital biomarkers.

The main activities of the role are described as follows:

- Collaborate with the Medical & Science team, validating the design of new digital biomarkers.
- Support the development of robust signal processing algorithms to extract digital biomarkers from the signals generated by the IMU sensors of the wearable devices.

This position is located in our Cordoba office and reports to the Head of Data Science.

**Your profile**:

- Graduated or student from a technical engineering career associated/related to the job description; e.g. Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biomedical Engineering
- Background and knowledge of data science methods, as well as of coding languages and tools used in Data Science (Python, R ).
- A background or demonstrated interest in healthcare or biomedicine.
- Experience in signal processing.
- Ability to communicate with Data Science teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic level of knowledge of classic techniques to filter and reduce the noise in the signals.
- Experience using Python.
- Knowledge in statistics.
- Interest in understanding the relationship between human movements and the obtained signals.
