Warehouse Chief

The Solys (Veolia) is the manufacturing and logistics platform of Veolia Water Technologies, specialized in:

- Standard product design
- Manufacturing of skid-mounted systems, containerized units and packaged plants
- Development of water treatment chemicals and of strategic components based on Veolia technologies and patents
- Supply chain

The manufacturing and logistics platform includes several manufacturing workshops and supply chain warehouses in Europe and China.

The Warehouse Chief person will be in charge of field supervision of the team that performs all the tasks of a warehouse. In addition to the technical skills that are essential to be able to exercise this position, the warehouse chief must possess computer skills, must be skilled with technology and demonstrate analytical skills. On the other hand, since the Warehouse Chief must deal with all types of suppliers, internal and external customers and employees, it is necessary to be fluent in English, that he has emotional intelligence skills such as empathy and that he knows how to listen and negotiate.

Some of the responsibilities:

- Supervise the receipt, storage, picking and dispatching operations ensuring they are done properly and completed on a timely manner- In cooperation with the Customer Services and Logistics Manager, definition of the warehouse floor plan-
- Manage warehouse staff, vehicles and other equipment.-
- Oversee health & safety and securityParticipate in the physical organization of stock. Optimize the storage space-
- Prevent and act when stocks out-
- Guarantee the flow of merchandise and study how to improve and perfect all processes.-
- Support purchasing with incidences on incoming goods.-
- Support workshop with incidences on internal delivered materials. To be in a close contact with the Workshop manager-
- Support Customer Service department with incidences on external delivered materials-
- Managing labelling of items in the various warehouses-
- Be one of the warehouse representant on continuous improvement projects (cf Lean)**Qualifications**:
Profile required (skills, languages, etc.):
- Educational background: Industrial Technical Engineering certificate or similar.-
- Knowledge and experience on Logistics-
- Minimum experience: 5 years in similar position-
- Language: fluent Spanish and in English-
- Good communication skills both written as oral-
- Problem solving skills and analytical thinking-
- Strong organizational skills. Team spirit-
- Ability to build strong relationships-
