**About the Role**:
As our IT Director, you will develop, manage, and empower a team of around 20 talented individuals. (including 3 Managers and a Procurement Specialist). You'll focus on creating a productive, customer-centric, fast-paced + high-quality delivery, IT culture.

**What you will do**:

- Manage and grow a set of diverse teams focusing on their development and growth so that everyone can make their biggest impact while thriving on their day to day job.
- Set ambitious goals for your team aligned with Typeform's vision for a high-standard employee experience.
- Position your department as a technical business partner towards all Typeform departments with proactive customer-led stakeholder engagement.
- Improve your team capabilities by implementing a consistent method of continuous improvement that is data-driven. In particular, you will deploy a rigorous operational excellence framework.
- Lead coach and provide guidance for managers.
- Keep motivated teams who feel proud of achieving the goals.
- Actively participate in the hiring process, ensuring that only the best talent (attitude + tech skills) join your teams.
- Control budget and report on expenditures.
- Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the strategic direction of the company.
- Improve predictability and pace of delivery by implementing a consistent method of continuous improvement across delivery teams on a continuous basis.

**Requirements and skills, you**:

- Have a strong track record of how to drive a thriving IT culture, with a proven experience of having successfully managed and scaled teams.
- Have outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills, especially with respect to clearly communicating complex data-driven topics, and are able to keep the leadership informed, connected and engaged with IT priorities and challenges.
- Are able to drive sustainable growth within the IT organization, finding, retaining and developing top talent.
- Master the implementation of evaluation criteria and career planning for IT engineers and managers which address a healthy mix of technical & leadership skills.
- Possess practical experience and tools to drive accountability and predictability of IT deliverables.
- Excel at ensuring the correct processes are in place and followed, according to industry best practice and the needs of our organization.
- Use a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Stay updated about the latest technologies and trends, and leverage this to create an innovative IT organization.
- Have a strong business understanding of how tech companies work, ideally SaaS businesses.
