News Lead Editor

**Description**:
DAZN is seeking a passionate and results-oriented News Editor to take charge of our football news strategy, focusing on SEO, content creation, and social media integration.

As a key member of our content team, you'll help shape our football coverage, especially leading up to major events like the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, while expanding our reach in Spain and Latin America.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in DAZN's digital transformation, enhancing our presence across the digital landscape, including on social media. Your work will directly contribute to DAZN's growth as a forward-thinking digital media leader in the sports industry.

**As our new News Lead Editor, you’ll have the opportunity to**:

- Integration of the on-platform news experience and active participation in its evolution process with the product team
- Develop and execute football content strategy to drive DAZN’s football news presence, particularly in Spain and Latin America.
- Focus on improving the SEO performance of football news content, ensuring top-tier visibility and search ranking on key platforms.
- Collaborate with content creators and social media teams to drive engagement, reach and interaction across multiple platforms.
- Integrate real-time news updates, breaking stories and viral trends into our editorial calendar to keep DAZN at the forefront of football news.
- Work closely with other departments (designers, video editors, content creators) to produce visually appealing and engaging content that resonates with football fans.
- Oversee and optimize digital content workflows, ensuring timely publication and SEO best practices are adhered to.

**You'll have**:

- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral)
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Proven experience in football content strategy, SEO optimization or sports journalism.
- In-depth knowledge of football leagues, teams, players, and current trends. A creative approach to football content creation, with experience working on social media and news platforms.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media Production, Communications or a related field.
