**Clinical Country Lead - Spain**
Location: Madrid
With KCR’s organizational growth, we are looking to hire a Country Lead - Clinical Operations to help us build and expand our footprint in Spain. This is a unique opportunity to join KCR, help us start up the affiliate and consequently lead the way on the operational delivery and development. The position will suit a driven Clinical Operations Manager with strong business acumen and project management drive.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Leading KCR operational activities in Spain
- Setting KCR office in Spain
- Managing the country deliverables and timelines to meet the country commitments
- Supervising all in-country clinical and administrative operations, according to Standard Operating Procedures, GCP Guidelines, local legal requirements, and contractual requirements
- Management and negotiation of country site budgets and agreements
- Line management responsibilities, including full cycle of staff management
**Requirements**:
- University degree
- Relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company or CRO:
- Minimum of 3 years clinical ops experience in different therapeutic areas, including oncology
- Thorough knowledge of drug development process
- Thorough knowledge of ICH, and GCP guidelines
- 1-2 years of monitoring and/or clinical trial/study management preferred (including site selection, initiation, routine monitoring and closeout visits)
- Experience with the Spanish study start up activities and regulatory environment
**Relevant supervisory experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years of people management experience in clinical research environment (in a pharmaceutical company/CRO) is required
- Demonstrated ability to lead and to encourage team members to seek solutions
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully participate as a member of a project team
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
- Strategic thinking skills
- Advanced planning and organizational skills
- Advanced oral, written and presentation skills
- Computer competency
- Fluent command of English
- Willingness to travel cross-region and in region according to the project needs
