What you’ll be doing:

- Providing support to Spain sites to resolve SCADA, BMS and PLC issues
- Keeping the team updated with security legislation and compliance
- Ensuring engineering infrastructure is maintained, operated, and handled in accordance with the appropriate standards to ensure reliability and performance to the highest possible levels
- Evaluating, maintaining, and modifying existing installed systems
- Working collaboratively with design engineers, technical facilities teams, operations engineers (globally) and other internal staff on the design, specification, installation, testing and setting to work of new systems
- Collaborating closely with suppliers and contractors regarding new and installed systems
- Assisting site-based Engineers with troubleshooting and problem solving
- Optimising and refining strategy of control systems to support Global Operation Engineering objectives for environmental and sustainability goals
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with safe working systems, safety, and quality standards of both the company and the country in which work is undertaken
- Supporting for Incident Management reporting, Change Management, Critical Maintenance Requests approval

What we expect from you:

- Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering or equivalent qualifications with additional experience or Degree-qualified in a relevant science or Engineering disciplines with experience.
- Experience of working in a data centre or similar critical environment.
- Experience with one or more brands of control systems including: ABB, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Andover or AVEVA (Wonderware), etc
- Any experience within AVEVA System platform would be desirable.
- Experience in electrical, electro-mechanical and automation (PLC) engineering is required
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to resolve solutions and use initiative.
- Must be able to understand control schemes for troubleshooting and optimizing operations
- Knowledge of network technologies and Ethernet and other industrial communication networks is beneficial.
- Supporting project and modification activities and management of change
- Self-starter with good team working skills
- Ability to communicate in English
