Demand Planner

**RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL**:
Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager facilitates the cost-effective flow of materials and products from suppliers to customers through the manufacturing and distribution network in accordance with company policies.

This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products in the country. The Demand Planner creates and maintains sales and purchasing forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from local sales organization. This position is the talent pool for the Senior Demand Planner, and Demand Planning Manager positions within the Organization.

The Demand Planner is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization and acts as interface with local 3PLs and manufacturing sites to ensure continuous and fluent communication of product needs, follow up of deliveries from factories to local warehouses and drop ships to customers.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**:
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Interact with sales, marketing, and local demand planners to understand demand forecast drivers. Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool. Acts as main contact point for JCH Factories ensuring correct cadence and communication flow is achieved in a successful manner, and Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs as well as to drive procurement optimization and efficiencies through the business in line with European and regional initiatives

Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning Acts as a main contact point with BBC for sourcing related issues. Supports the development and maintenance of the sourcing metrics and scorecards, based on analysis of reports and consolidated data. Monitors sourcing KPI’s and drives them into actions. Helps achieve Supply Chain objectives, in terms of savings, rebates, process improvements, preferred supplier development. Supports the strategic goal to improve Trade Working Capital (TWC) performance by extracting reports, identifying gaps between targets & actuals and supporting follow-up of improvement plans.

Contributes in driving operational excellence when translating business strategies & decisions into effective & compliant execution of all related policies and processes. Identifies best business practices via finance / business performance benchmarking and facilitates the implementation of these practices, maximizing its standardization across the region by supporting in creation and implementation of processes (ex. Bluebook) Keeps abreast with Corporate policies, projects and initiatives. Acts as SME for assigned area and provides accurate input & feedback when policies / guidelines are designed or reviewed. Performs related duties as necessary.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields through experience in Demand Planning / SCM department of a large company. Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures. Knowledge of software related to demand planning is preferred.

Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills. Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Good facilitation skills are required.

Experienced with other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office.

Fluent professional English level is a must.
