This is the role

Podimo is looking for a marketing-minded Video Editor to help us get our podcasts out into the world. You will be part of the Spanish Markets team located in Madrid, and you will have a strong collaboration with your counterparts across other markets. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, your job will support the promotion of the most fascinating or entertaining moments from our podcasts; turning them into something visual and dynamic through the use of animation, editing, and other creative solutions. Your work will be featured on social media, digital advertising, and of course, inside our app.

**Your main responsibilities in this role**:

- Manipulate and edit video pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Trim footage segments and put together compelling video assets.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
- Create dynamic ads for social media based on specific podcasts and their unique potential, as well as our brand, Podimo, as a product of itself.
- Develop video assets for social media, PR, live events, or other uses.
- Further develop our visual identity in relation to video editing by implementing best practices and design systems to our branded motion graphics.
- Bring your skills to the table for anything and everything you think Podimo’s creative work is lacking.

**This is you**:
As a video editor, you’re someone who loves to create. You excel at producing captivating, entertaining, and/or touching video work with great editing and sometimes simple yet effective animation. You have a great sense of finesse and are able to take a project from nothing to something from start to finish.
- +2 years of proven work experience as a Video Editor
- An awesome portfolio of some kick-ass commercial work (fun personal work is also appreciated).
- Great skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere, and more).
- An understanding of exciting storytelling through suspense, laughter, and a perfectly timed punch line or moment of silence, etc..
- Knowledge of basic color grading and audio editing - and the ability to adapt to many different visual styles.
- A conceptual mindset able to think across varying creative solutions and how they might best be unfolded together depending on unique use cases.
- A positive and proactive team player who loves to collaborate as well as thrive with organizing your work to meet deadlines.
- Spanish is your first language
