**Role purpose**:
Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) is the world’s leading IoT Managed Connectivity provider. Industry analysts have positioned Vodafone IoT in their Magic Quadrant for the eighth consecutive year. We have successfully built one of the best platforms in the industry, known as GDSP (Global Data Service Platform). GDSP currently supports more than 150 million IoT connections, connecting millions of devices and vehicles.

Vodafone IoT is experiencing a 30+% YoY growth. To support this key strategic growth, the IoT Managed Connectivity team requires a Core Services Specialist to support the IoT transformation.

**Accountabilities**:

- Delivering Core Services systems & projects, against cost, time and quality
- Technical performance engineering - to engineer in-life performance improvements (availability, capacity, reliability, security)
- Make sure that deliverables support the required business outcome at all points of consumption within a journey
- Make sure all component comply with requirements to address non-functional impacts e.g. performance and reliability

**Main Interfaces**
- Peer teams in IoT Connectivity such as other domains, Architecture, Infrastructure, Product and Delivery Teams
- Group Networks Teams, along with Transport & Backbone Networks
- Group Data Center TeamsDemand Management teams (LPM) to understand upcoming demand and initiatives
- Network Application Operations (IT and network operations teams)
- IoT Digital Services, IoT Partnerships, and senior executives in Vodafone Business and Technology

Deliver customer oriented solutions, including simple bespokes and complex customer solutions

This person will be measured according but not limited to the following criteria:

- Engineering excellence - we deliver new capabilities and services in an efficient way, making sure our IoT platform is scalable, future-proof and cost effective
- Delivery focus - we deliver the expected customer experience, results for the business and hit our financial metrics
- Stakeholder management - we are collaborating with our business partners as one from delivery, communication and day-to-day relationship view point

**Core competencies, knowledge and experience**:

- Proven experience in delivery and tuning of complex technologies and complex real time, highly transactional, retail, distributed architecture stacks
- Good knowledge of mobile networks and business support systems
- Able to work well within a multinational, multicultural environment
- Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies, especially SAFe, desirable
- Experience in complex international programmes: the role holder will need to be able to work laterally with technical (engineering and operations) and business functions (line of business, finance) within Vodafone

**Must have technical / professional qualifications and expertise**:

- Educated to BSc degree level in telecommunications or related discipline
- Academic knowledge and professional experience on Mobile core Networks including 2G/3G/4G/5G/NB-IoT/Cat-M and OSS
- Specific Diameter, Radius, SMPP, P2P
- English leve: B2+
