**Job Description**:
Location: Madrid, Valencia (flexible)

As a Grid Engineer, you will be managing projects related to grid connections between users (solar PV, battery storage, windfarms) and the grid, and ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently and on time.

You will act as the focal point for technical, commercial, and regulatory issues surrounding grid compliance, and grid connection for transmission and distribution networks and maintain and develop existing client and utility relationships.

Among your responsabilities:

- Manage HV or MV grid connection engineering aspects of projects :Grid connection option / feasibility studies
- Contribute in Equipment selection, engineering design and calculations, from concept stage to construction.
- Perform Value engineering, health & safety designers risk assessment
- Conduct Preliminary grid studies i.e. short circuit study, load flow study, compliance with standards and simulation for specific projects
- Liaise with DNOs and TSOs
- Proceed to Design reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant industry codes & standards.
- Manage and supervise third party engineers or external design services
- Monitor Preliminary capex cost estimates during development stage, identifying risks, exclusions, contingencies, and assumptions.
- Provide technical support to management of the connection agreement
- Technical specifications for equipment and words tenders
- Provide Engineering support to tender and construction phase of projects

**Qualifications**:
Master's degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience with medium and high voltage grid connections, including overhead and underground transmission lines and substations.

Previous experience in Grid/HV infrastructure during development stage in Spain.

4 years of experience in Grid connections design and construction.

Sound knowledge of wind parks. Desirable: Experience with the electrical design and the MV trenches.

Sound knowledge of PV plants.

Experience and sound understanding of the grid connection process in Spain. Desirable: Portugal.

Experience and sound understanding of the Spain national standards and REE requirements applicable to the Grid systems, including but not limited to RAT, RLAT standards and REE Grid Code, NTS and relative annexes.

Use of design software including AutoCAD.

Experience with underground cable system design and routing, Knowledge of power system studies.

Experience with protection and control schemes., Desirable: Experience and sound understanding of the Portugal national standards and REN requirements.

Desirable: Experience with software DIgSILENT, PLS-CADD or CYMCAP.

Fluency in Spanish and English

Willingness to travel regularly across the country.
