**Job Purpose**
The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as driving a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization.**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure full compliance with local national EHS regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring the Company’s policies and procedures are aligned with these changes.
**2. Risk Management**:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks to employees, contractors, and the environment.
- Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, developing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
**3. EHS Programs & Training**:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular training sessions to promote awareness and ensure the proper use of safety equipment, emergency protocols, and environmental protection measures.
- Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
**4. Emergency Response & Incident Management**:
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, ensuring the site is prepared for potential environmental, health, and safety emergencies.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure the implementation of corrective actions and follow-up.
**5. EHS Audits & Reporting**:
- Lead and participate in internal and external EHS audits and inspections.
- Monitor and report on the site’s EHS performance, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
**6. Sustainability & Environmental Impact**:
- Promote sustainability initiatives within the site, focusing on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
- Monitor and manage environmental impact, including waste disposal, water use, air quality, and chemical management.
**7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement**:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Corporate EHS and local Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and Quality, to ensure alignment of EHS objectives with overall business goals.
- Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for regulatory bodies, contractors, and external stakeholders.
**Required Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.) is a plus.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with main EHS ISO standards certifications (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and best practices.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and developing safety programs.
- Ability to lead and influence others in promoting a safety and environmental-conscious culture.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
**Required Languages**
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
