Hostaway is seeking a Director of People Operations who brings a hands-on approach and a proven track record of designing and implementing progressive people strategies in a global and fully remote environment. This role is tailored for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works quickly to achieve the highest-priority results

Your Mission:

- ** Hands-On Process Building**: Developing robust HR processes and systems (often from the ground up). This role is ideal for someone who excels in a hands-on environment with a strong background in establishing, refining, and scaling HR operations in fast-growing organizations.
- ** Empathetic and Progressive Leadership**: As a pragmatic process builder, you'll leverage your expertise and empathy to foster a supportive workplace. Leading by example, you'll manage a small dedicated team, guiding and mentoring them to support our People Operations functions.
- ** Compensation & Benefits**: Develop and maintain competitive and progressive compensation and benefits frameworks that attract and retain talent while balancing the company's fiscal needs and maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
- ** Compliance Assurance**:Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, proactively managing disputes and staying ahead of relevant legal changes.
- ** Direct Leadership of HR Operations**: Take charge of the HR department's daily activities, from managing HR information systems to record-keeping and serving as an escalation point for sensitive HR matters.

- ** International Risk Management**: Knowledge and experience of the management of common international labor standards across areas of North American and Europe.
- ** Experience with Contractual Variability**: Demonstrated ability to support a diverse workforce, including international employees and team members engaged via Employer of Record (EOR) services and/or direct contracts.
- ** Technology Proficiency**: Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and other related technology tools that support HR functions.
