The Lab Technician, R&D Dyes position is a newly created role and will be based in Barcelona area. The role reports to the R&D Laboratory Manager Synthetic Dyes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performing and synthesis R&D projects for new têxtile dyes, from lab synthesis to scale up.
- Optimization of existing products and processes.
- Reporting and documentation of result
- Preparing of laboratory procedures.
- Bibliographic searching.
- Train and develop co-workers in safety

**Education and experience**:

- Degree in Chemistry, preferably in Organic Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D or production in the chemical industry, preferably R&D or production of dyes or pigments.

**Skills/knowledge**:

- Knowledge in: HPLC, TLC's, UV Spectrophotometer, titration techniques, working with solvents and analytical techniques.
- Knowledge in chemical synthesis, especially organic, dyes & pigments and their intermediates.
- Able to respond in a flexible manner to changing circumstances, self-motivated
- Great teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to communicate in fluently in English - verbal and written
