**Wanted**: A cooling technician with ventilation and mechanical knowledge to work onboard yachts around Barcelona

Being a cooling technician at Heinen & Hopman Ibérica is not just any job. We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team and work in the vibrant maritime industry in and around Barcelona. Do you have experience with air conditioning, ventilation systems and mechanical maintenance? **What will you do as a cooling technician?**

In this role, you will combine your expertise in refrigeration, ventilation, and mechanical systems to work on a variety of ships. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as maintenance of chiller units, replacing pump and fan bearings, install pipes and ducts, alongside the installation and commissioning of cooling systems. Your work will vary from ship maintenance to large-scale system upgrades. Your cooling and mechanical know-how and ventilation system experience will be put to the test as you help maintain ships' climate control systems.

**Here’s a snapshot of your day**:
You arrive at a shipyard just outside Barcelona. The morning sun is warming the decks, and you're ready to tackle today's tasks. You start by replacing worn-out ductwork in the ship's ventilation system and ensure everything runs smoothly. In the afternoon, you’ll commission a cooling system on a yacht, working alongside your team to ensure everything meets our high standards. Tomorrow, you might be at another shipyard or a marina, keeping the Mediterranean's finest vessels in top shape.

**Who are you as a cooling technician?**
- You have a solid background in refrigeration and ventilation systems, with experience in mechanical maintenance (replacing bearings, pipes, and ducts).
- You have an electrical and/or refrigeration background and hold relevant qualifications
- You are comfortable working independently and can manage projects effectively.
- You are proficient in English, as you will interact with international colleagues and clients.
- Experience working on ships or in shipyards is a plus but not a necessity.

- A gross monthly salary between € 2.500 and € 2.900, depending on your knowledge and experience.
- 22 vacation days based on a 40-hour workweek.
