We’re looking for a **Senior Strategic Accountant** to join our Finance team in Barcelona. You will be working closely with the Head of Accounting and CFO on strategic initiatives to improve data quality, processes and reporting from an accounting perspective.
**What your day to day would look like...**
- Analyze, improve and implement best practices for accounting, data and reporting to enable SeQura’s international growth.
- Document and implement best practice processes.
- Treasury management including daily cash reconciliation. Provide cash flow planning, analysis, projects budgeting and analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls.
- Contribute to ongoing projects.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- You will be assisting in financial steering and strategy in terms of cash flow and balance sheet management.
- You will mentor less experienced colleagues.
**You’ll be a good fit if you have**
- Proven working experience in a similar position, ideally with international experience and project management, from the FinTech or Finance sector.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- You have excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
