Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Logistics Coordinator to work in a truly global environment executing the various activities of the logistics department to ensure an efficient and effective delivery process to farms in particular reporting to the Farm Business Manager for Spain.
Business Overview
ED&F Man Liquid Products Division is the leading global supplier in molasses, molasses blends and related liquid products as well as dry products for (mainly) the animal feed industry. We are a pioneer as well as a trader in liquid agricultural by-and
- co-products. We offer expertise in animal nutrition and feed dispense technology to farmers. We work closely with manufacturers, such as rum and yeast producers, to provide quality products from sustainable sources. Our capability includes sourcing, shipping, storage and distribution of molasses, molasses blends and other sugar co-products, as well as vegetable and fish oils.
We are part of ED&F Man Commodities, a world leading trader of agricultural products including coffee, sugar, molasses and animal feed.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the deliveries to customers of the liquid products for all Spanish farms market and managing the communications between transport companies and final customers.
- Preparation and administration / execution of purchase and sales contracts (i.e. assignment of receipts and deliveries in ITAS to the corresponding contracts)
- Negotiation of prices with transport companies in agreement with the line manager
- Preparation of delivery orders and assignments in ITAS
- Check the alignment with the price list of each new contract
- Reference person for the customers during the processing of each order
- Contact transport companies to ensure the correct timing of deliveries to final receivers
- Follow up with clients of each delivery
- Achieve the qualitative objectives defined with the line manager, for farms business
- Any other activity that might be required

- Proven experience in a similar logistics environment
- Good communication and writing skills
- Commercial skills
- Proven proper relationship with transportation companies
- Proven adequate relationship with customers
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to the needs and problems of customers
- Problem solving
- Ability to prioritize
- Sense of negotiation, relationship skills and autonomy
