**Description**:
We are hiring a **VAT ANALYST** in our service center in Asturias

The VAT Analyst will handle independently the various VAT activities for Legal Entities centralized in the FSC in compliance with VAT policies & guidelines. The Analyst will also perform detailed review, analysis and interpretation of defined processes in the VAT area ensuring accuracy of data and adequate processing and reporting.

**Your challenge**
**Functional responsibilities**:

- Prepare accurate VAT returns. (monthly/ quarterly basis)
- Support to DSCI Team with VAT Reconciliation.
- To prepare and deliver quality Indirect Tax reports as required by internal or external requirements on time (Vat declarations, Tax audits, etc..).
- Initiate further investigations and corrections when applicable.
- Perform the VAT closing activities and resolve subsequent queries.
- Calculate and post accruals, revaluations, etc.
- Keep up to date on Legislation related to VAT, Local Books and other informative returns in the country under responsibility (Continuous Professional Education)
- To participate on internal & external financial audits. Support the local and tax organization particularly in case of tax audits.
- Participate in special projects either based on business requests for support or internal team projects for continuous improvement of processes and data quality. To perform detailed review, analysis and interpretation of defined processes in the VAT area, ensuring accuracy of data and adequate processing and reporting.

- To know and implement a series of operating procedures that demand attention to detail under pressure conditions. Cooperate with the VAT Team and Tax Organization in various VAT/TAX projects and initiatives.

- Ongoing dialogue with team members and the Team Leaders/Team Supervisor.
- Drive and facilitate interactions with internal/external customers and third parties (Legal entity controllers/Tax Authorities ) Ongoing dialogue within the local organization, TAX ORGANIZATION, own team and the different peer teams.

**Qualifications**:** To Grow What Matters, You Will Need**
- Accounting/ finance University degree.
- Minimum 2 3 years finance/accounting experience.
- VAT compliance experience and knowledge are a must
- Computer literate. Demonstrated ability to work with excel.
- Business proficiency in English. Additional languages will be considered as a plus Languages like CZ/SK/HU will be considered an advantage
- SAP R3 knowledge is a must.
