**Role Summary/Purpose**
The Integration Architect is responsible designing and managing the deployment of Digital Health and AVS (Alcon Vision Suite) products integration on customer environments, using common medical standards (HL7, DICOM, C-CDA, etc.) and customized solutions based on ETL tools. He/She will lead customer and 3rd party vendor interactions, document discussions and agreement, allocate and follow up the technical implementation teams to enable a fully integrated patient workflow.

Combining project management and technical knowledge, will also act as an escalation resource for all Alcon products interconnectivity needs, for both internal and customer facing products. Will also drive process adjustments, to ensure alignment between Alcon’s global guidelines and regional requirements, collaborating with other regional architects and global leadership. Each DHS installation must provide an outstanding customer experience.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Design and validate customer integration projects for all regional Digital Health and Alcon Vision Suite (when applicable) installations
- Drive connectivity to new DHS customers, support service organization with Alcon legacy and AVS product installation and post-installation related activities. Address potential customers’ network issues and/or concerns.
- Respond to monitoring alerts indicating down DHS-Smart Suite Edge Devices
- Manage technical team engagement and escalations.
- Own regional integration change request process
- Identify, evaluate, and support opportunities to improve process, systems and initiatives critical to DHS success
- Document and report new installation integration project status, post execution analysis, and feedback on improvement opportunities
- Maintain alignment between the internal project teams, customer and external resources.
- Support customers with installation and post-installation integration, change management, issues and escalations

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineer, or Information Technology, and/or 5+ years of experience as integration architect/engineer
- 3+ years of experience working with customers in Healthcare industry
- 2+ years of experience in managing EHR integrations using HL7/FHIR
- 2+ years of experience in configuring DICOM communication
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years of experience supporting Medical Devices
- Proven project management experience in complex environments
- Some level of travel (25-30%) to conduct regional leadership meetings, customer visits, attend conferences, etc.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Knowledge of EHR systems is a plus
- 5+ Experience supporting healthcare customers HIPAA, HITECH, network, security, data and privacy issues
- Network Certifications
- Cisco Certifications CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCIE Preferred
- Results driven
- Ability to successfully lead team members and communicate with customers
- Change management
