The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR)
is a public sector institution that promotes
and develops the research, innovation and
biosanitary teaching of the Vall d’Hebron
University Hospital. Through the excellence
solutions to the health problems of society
and we contribute to spread them around

In April 2015, the **Vall d’Hebron**
**Research Institute (VHIR) **obtained
the recognition of the European
Commission in **HR Excellence.**
This recognition proves that VHIR
endorses the general principles of the
European Charter for Researchers and
a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment
of Researchers **(Charter & Code)**.

The European University Hospital Alliance (EUHA) is formed by nine leading European university hospitals
with demonstrated excellence in healthcare, education, and research. Our members are Assistance
Publique
- Hôpitaux de Paris in France; Charité Berlin in Germany; Erasmus MC in the Netherlands;
Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden; King’s Health Partners in the United Kingdom; San Raffaele in
Italy; Vall d’Hebron in Spain; the Vienna University in Austria and UZ Leuven in Belgium. They collaborate to
improve outcomes for todays and tomorrow’s patients. We aim to “Lead by doing”, which represents our
intention to be an influential advisor at the European level by leading the development of innovative solutions
to the most important challenges facing European health and healthcare. The strategic priorities of EUHA
are, high value care, innovative cancer therapies, responsible research and innovation, the digital
transformation, rare diseases and patient empowerment.
EUHA was founded in 2017 and is a young and vibrant organisation in which over 250 colleagues of the
member university hospitals collaborate across various networks and working groups. The EUHA secretariat
supports these networks to deliver the EUHA strategic plan, is the linking pin between the colleagues and the
EUHA Steering Committee and takes care of EUHA’s communications. EUHA wishes to strengthen this
support and is therefore looking to hire a projects and communications officer.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The EUHA Projects and Communications Officer will work under the supervision of the EUHA Alliance
Manager and will be responsible for supporting the development of EUHA’s projects and the activities of the
alliance’s working groups and networks, ensuring quality and efficient processes, as well as timely delivery
with a focus on project management. In addition, the officer will be implementing EUHA’s communication
activities, promoting crosstalk amongst the different EUHA working groups and networks, ensuring a strong
visibility of EUHA activities within the EUHA members, as well as towards external stakeholders, such as
from health science, innovation, and policy fields across Europe.
