**About the role**

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at SideQuest, you’ll play a key role in our Engineering team, collaborating with the Design and Product teams as we level up our offering. Using a Kanban approach, you’ll champion high quality code in your team as we introduce new exciting projects across the SideQuest platform.

**In your first 6-12 months you’ll**:

- Act as a Senior in the Engineering team, managing projects independently, prioritizing tasks, and championing high quality code alongside best engineering practices
- Work closely with other tech teams to ensure frontend architecture cohesion and reduce technical debt
- Develop React, Next.js Frontend at scale, with a focus on customer experience and cross-channel leverageIdentify opportunities for improvements and innovation in our technology and development processes
- Give useful and effective feedback, actively seeking to improve the entire team by regularly sharing knowledge and mentoring others
- Communicate with cross-functional team leaders, targeted for the audience
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in frontend development

**Skills you’ll need**:

- Expertise with front-end development, frameworks and patterns, such as Angular, Redux, Typescript or other modern frameworks
- Significant experience working with HTML, CSS and Javascript (ES6+)
- Experience with JIRA and understanding of Kanban
- Internalising industry best-practices: modular approach, performance, security, CI/CD approach, automation tests, code and release management
- Strong communication, teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills

**Bonus skills**:

- Experience scaling a product from an early stage
- Experience within a remote environment
- Video Games / VR Industry experience

**Salary Range**:
UK: £84,000 - £90,000

USA: $105,000 - $125,000

Spain: €46,000 - €55,000

**Location**:
Remote (United Kingdom) or Remote (United States) or Remote (Spain)

Max Myers (CTO)
