Senior Fire Safety Engineer

The clients and projects can be located anywhere in the world, so the role is challenging and interesting. Our work is varied in its nature and the role will primarily include Feasibility Studies, Owner's Engineering (technical specifications, tenders’ evaluations, design review, construction supervision, project management), Detailed Design, Technical and Advisory for investors, developers and EPC Contractors. International travel will be a part of the role, including site visits and client meetings. There will be opportunities for short-term and long-term assignments.

We are looking for a motivated person with a genuine passion for excellence and client relationships, with the following attributes:

- A Chartered Engineer or working towards a chartership with the Engineering Council UK or equivalent
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Fire and Explosion Engineering, Fire Safety and Management or a relevant engineering/science discipline;
- Knowledge of fire/smoke modelling tools such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), zone models and evacuation models
- Experience with working with fire engineering codes of practice in the UK
- Experience of working with international codes such as NFPA, IBC, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other members of the project team
- Must have excellent report writing skills (English)
- Must have extensive working knowledge and experience of performance-based fire engineering to national frameworks
- Experience with working with fire engineering codes of practice in the UK
- Experience of working with international codes such as NFPA, IBC, etc.
- Experience of working with regulations such as DSEAR, COSHH, ATEX, etc.
- Experience of working with internationally recognised codes and standards for Fire Safety design relevant in the power generation sector;
- Demonstrated professional experience in power generation project fire safety detailed design, ideally with a mix of EPC contractor, OEM, and consultancy background.
- Fluent in English.
- hands-on construction site fire safety systems installation, commissioning or management;
- Experience in:

- Owner’s engineer services;
- Technical Advisory consultancy services;
- Ideally also have experience of both buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Fluency in Italian, additional language(s) desirable (French, Spanish or Portuguese).
