About the Role

The Vice President Logistics Operations will set and implement the strategy for our logistics and warehousing operations, and will drive the transformation journey globally.

In addition, this position supports the review of the existing manufacturing footprint with the aim to optimize total landed cost and supports the start-up of networks in new markets. You will be responsible for maximizing warehouse efficiency/effectiveness and supporting the plants in the implementation of the logistics key enablers. Furthermore, you will have the responsibility for warehousing project management excellence and for allocating and providing the business units in a region with highly qualified project managers.

Part of your role will be to be responsible for developing best practice logistics and warehousing processes/roles and runs Value stream mapping (VSM) projects.

This position will report into the President of Global Supply Chain and will be part of the leadership team of GSC. Preferred location is Barcelona (Spain).

What You Will Do- Set and drive the strategy and lead all logistics and warehousing operations globally, including loading, receiving, inventory control, space management, resource planning and safety- Drive change and lead the transformation journey to secure best-in-class operations- Secure, engage and build needed capabilities for the future- Establish warehousing as a core operation- Ensure warehouse operation runs cost effectively, identifying and implementing process improvements and opportunities for optimization- Ensure standardization of processes and organization structure with highest focus on safety, quality and productivity- Drive improvement and efficiency initiatives for the overall operation through good inventory management- Have full ownership of all the warehousing operations budget- Enhance technology automation capabilities in the warehouse operations and prioritize investments in the area of material flow and warehousing in the sites under scope- Support intralogistics projects from idea (design) to execution- Drive continuous improvements and follow up of KPI (Service level, Handling Costs, Full pallet handling efficiency, picking efficiency, etc.)- Run and further develop the Warehouse Excellence program across the area- Provide leadership support for all employees in the warehousing operations to ensure objectives are achieved

Who You Are- We believe you have +10 years of experience in Warehousing and Logistics Operations ideally in a matrix organization- +5 years of management experience in warehousing with an understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)- Successful experience in driving transformational change initiatives- Proven experience with automation projects or leading automated warehouses- Integrated Supply Chain understanding: the ability to achieve the best overall planning result for the organization by balancing customer service levels, working capital, asset utilization and cost- Good IT skills: MS Office, SAP, planning systems, etc.- Advanced skills in change management, decision making and problem solving- Excellent communication and influencing skills- The ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or in a related technical field- Fluent in English- Ability to travel
