The Inventory Planner has the following forecasting and inventory management responsibilities:
Forecasting: Calculation of statistically based forecast using historical usage by zone/item. Management of the resultant forecast based on feedback from Account Operations and Account Executives. Review sales trends and implements parameters to support seasonal/transitional strategies. Monitors, analyzes and identifies forecasting accuracy report discrepancies for automatic or manually replenished items.

Inventory Management: Analyzes inventory levels by SKU location to maintain assigned department or category inventory levels, increase inventory turns, and maximize fill rates. Provide management for a multi-site/global inventory. Manages vendor relationships to analyze lead times for accuracy, resolve backorders through root cause analysis and set seasonal purchasing strategy.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor and adjust replenishment plans accordingly to ensure an uninterrupted flow of product.
- Proactively monitors demand and supply for gaps and takes appropriate action to resolve issues
- Ability to work well with suppliers, business development and senior management.
- Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems.
- Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements.
- Willing to do “whatever it takes” in a mid-sized company environment.
- Solid communications skills.
- Ability to present forecasts, sales and technical requirements in a clear and concise manner.
- Established ability to create and maintain metrics to tract and analyze inventory.Ability to effectively determine priorities based on business and customer demands.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
- Ability to interface and coordinate with personnel in business units within Asia, Europe and the Americas.
- Ability to provide inventory status reports summarizing status on product.
- Ability to effectively manage product from new product introduction to obsolescence.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Statistics, and Quantitative Business Analysis or similar field
- 3+ years experience in multi-location inventory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills from country of hire and customer country. Advanced verbal and written English is required. Additional language abilities a plus.
- Basic knowledge of geography, time zones, and foreign currencies is required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed, as well as to our company headquarters for training in Danville, Virginia in the United States
- Demonstrate ability to complete all tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-up
- Ensure professional, accurate, and timely communication to complete tasks and resolve issues
- Ability to learn quickly and deal with ambiguity when facing new problems; organize and plan for multiple customer accounts at one time
- Manage various projects simultaneously with a high level of organization and the ability to multitask while prioritizing based on urgency
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all tasks
