The SEM Manager is responsible for implementing search engine marketing / pay-per-click (PPC) advertising strategies. You will play a pivotal role measuring results, making recommendations, and implementing changes and enhancements in the SEM programs in place. This includes running day-to-day, monthly, and quarterly SEM processes such as keyword optimization, shopping feed and pMAX optimizations, A/B testing, competitor SERP analysis, and overall performance optimization. You will work together with a best-in-class team of performance marketers, external vendors, and digital marketing agencies to promote our brand and offering. You will be tasked with increasing conversions and driving the commercial performance of SEM, while working closely with the VP of Customer Acquisition and the rest of the marketing team in target-setting as well as continuous data analysis and post-campaign performance evaluations.
**What you will be doing**
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid search marketing strategies to increase brand visibility, drive traffic, conversions and increase revenue and profitability growth.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant keywords and create effective ad copy to drive conversions.
- Create and manage paid search campaigns across multiple search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) and platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
- Optimize campaigns to improve performance and maximize ROAS by continuously analyzing and adjusting bid strategies, ad copy, landing pages, and other campaign elements.
- Track and report on campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices and technology tools in search engine marketing and paid search advertising.
- Develop break-through insights and translate them into concrete actionable recommendations for customer engagement and product improvement.
- Present and defend your recommendations and solutions to the CMO and management team.
- Analyze competitor offerings within the SEM landscape and work with Product Managers to improve the purchase funnel and experience in every step of the customer journey and at every touchpoint.
- Research new and applicable online marketing and advertising technology/platforms, including artificial intelligence/machine learning to improve efficiency across campaigns.

- Passion for Gelato and our vision - sharing creativity. Deep passion for working with SEM.
- M.Sc./M.A. degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or another data-driven or marketing field.
- 4+ years of experience in SEM/PPC and digital marketing. Ideally a blend of SEM experience within both Ecommerce and B2B/SaaS. Demonstrable experience leading and managing significant budgets in Google/Bing Ads..
- Experience with handling acquisition campaigns for apps isa plus (Apple Search Ads, Facebook, Instagram app campaigns, Google UAC).
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
- Experience with marketing attribution and conversion tracking methodologies.
