**Job Overview**
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join Spain Finance Department in IQVIA. You will be part of our Controlling team supervising and ensuring accurate financial and accounting processes and being a key member in the monthly closing preparation.
**Essential Functions**
- Maintain general ledger; prepare monthly journal entries for review by others and compile all source documentation related to the financial reporting.
- Coordinate tasks related to the administration of the financial accounting system.
- Interaction with other colleagues within the finance cluster and EMEA to ensure
- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis of actual, forecast and budget figures and identify key trends as appropriate.
- Assist during meetings with offering managers to discuss forecast and preliminary budgets. Highlight major concerns relating to forecasts or budget to immediate supervisor to seek guidance on how to proceed.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role.
- Prepare the topside journal report for distribution to finance staff for them to enter in their general ledgers to ensure consistency with the Hyperion database.
- Ensure all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and complete in preparation for independent audits.
- Maintain detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these requirements.
- Be familiar with, and ensure compliance with, internal financial accounting procedures and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree Required in Finance, Economics or related field.
- Previous experience in audit, finance, consulting or related field.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of General Ledger accounting.
- Experience with the use of SAP ERP and Hyperion/Oracle
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
- Team worker, proactive and positive attitude.
