**Your role and work environment**:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic **Paralegal** to join our **Litigation **Team of **Legal Department**

We are currently looking for a Paralegal within the Legal Team. This position involves assisting the head of the department, team members and internal clients to ensure legal risks in ING’s operations are identified and mitigated.

**Your key responsibilities**:
As a Paralegal you will:

- To support Legal team to ensure that the legal and reputational risks of the relevant area are identified, reported, and mitigated.
- To process procedural files, organizing relevant information and collecting the means of evidence necessary for the correct defense of the proceedings.
- To conduct research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
- Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys.
- Preparing and filing documents with courts.
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
- Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
- To report relevant data to different areas.
- To review external counsel’s advice and documents.

- Degree in Law from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working as paralegal at a law firm and/or financial institution on litigation and procedural matters.
- Desirable expertise fields: litigation, banking, legal operations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to the banking business.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines and adapt to changing priorities, operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluent English (including drafting legal documents) is a must.
- Readiness to face a changing environment and proactive attitude towards new challenges.

While also ability to face major challenges within the organization:

- Ability to adapt work style to meet complex and varied workloads.
- Problem solving.
- Ability to prioritize workloads in terms of legal risk.
- Ability to navigate the complex financial regulatory environment.
- Maintain knowledge of ING’s operations and policies.
- Increasing ability to handle more complex tasks with less supervision.
- Ability to balance the need for further analysis and the need for a timely decision given commercial pressures.
