**Application Engineer - Barcelona**: Key tasks: - Onsite customer support for prototype start ups in order to do "proof of concept", good working knowledge of third party PLC software, network configuration and device integration coverage including product sizing and selection. - Main interface to Concept Engineer (Customer/Festo) (pre-defining technical concepts) and technical support engineer. - Discuss technical proposals to optimize machine performance with a strong focus to increase component sales. - Provides on site technical product training for customers during the installation. - Focus on commercial (cost of ownership) and technical feasibility of proposals, based on deep technical product knowledge. - Proposes component and system based solutions, mainly on standard products, in accordance with the regulations (Machinery Directive, etc.). - Creates technical solutions taking all relevant technical interfaces into consideration. - During the pre-sales phase acts as technical product expert, in close coordination with the sales engineer. - Supports and provides ISM and BU with product gaps as input Supports in Question of Norms, regulations. - Company: Festo Automation S.A.U.- Location: Barcelona, ES, 08908
