Senior Geoscience Associate

We are seeking a Senior Geoscience Associate to join our Well Log acquisition and delivery group. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing the scope and quality of our well log offerings. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with internal teams and customers to identify and acquire new well logs, overseeing our well log digitization program, and promptly addressing client and internal requests.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify gaps in our log catalog and explore new sources to acquire missing logs and manage relationships with external log digitization contractors.
- Ensure digitized logs meet quality standards.
- Handle client inquiries related to well logs and assist with digitizing queries and data pulls.
- Support GeoTech requests for logs and data.
- Conduct quality control for data obtained from scraped sources and vendors.
- Work with raw sources, Essential, and Essential Plus logs, handle Petrophysics, Electrofacies, Intelli, and Frac Barrier data.
- Assist in developing and implementing a well log data clean-up process.
- Contribute to the generation, quality control, and delivery of analytics-ready logs.

**Qualifications**:

- A background in the oil and gas industry with a strong knowledge of LAS and Raster logs.
- Ability and willingness to work directly with customers on a regular basis.
- Geological or Geotechnical background is an asset.
- Basic understanding of Databases and SQL commands.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft software such as Excel & Word.
- Powerbuilder background would be beneficial but not strictly required.
- Mapping experience is also beneficial.
