Digital Product Owner

**Role Overview**:

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of tasks and priorities.
- Set up agile ceremonies, internal events, and reporting processes to ensure efficiency.
- Lead sprint planning and participate in sprint reviews to ensure that the work meets the acceptance criteria and overall product vision.
- Supervise and advise the Scrum team to ensure software expectations are met. Work closely with the team throughout the development process.
- Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and propose solutions, ensuring follow-up on project fixes.
- Manage the product development team to create a strong end product. Lead and nurture ideas and solutions to existing customer problems.
- Determine roadmaps for products in the creation phase.
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure that each story is clearly defined and ready for development.
- Define both the features and visual aspects of the product, with a strong focus on UX/UI to ensure a user-friendly and visually appealing design.
- Work closely with development teams, design (UI/UX), external agencies, and the Scrum team to ensure efficient implementation of features and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Digital Project Manager to align on timelines and deliverables, ensuring that product development stays on track.
- Lead the digital product development within a specialised team (Business Owner, Solution Architect, Design Lead), focusing on digital sales performance.
- Anticipate, understand, and manage customer expectations, while identifying new market trends and competition.
- Extract and retrieve information and data sets to improve the software and ensure product decisions are data-driven.
- Manage data migration from previous systems to the new platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a solid understanding of technology architectures, particularly in front-end stacks, with a focus on operational excellence and innovation.
- Have knowledge of web analytics technologies and UX analysis solutions.
- Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions. Use data and analysis to prioritise new features and improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of product features, user stories, and technical specifications.

**What we would like you to bring to our team**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Product Owner, with a successful track record of managing and developing products within deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and processes, with proficiency in leading Agile development teams.
- Experience in setting up agile ceremonies and ensuring the team’s efficiency in an Agile environment.
- In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends, with the ability to anticipate customer needs and stay ahead of competitors.
- Solid understanding of web development technologies, particularly in front-end stacks, and familiarity with web analytics technologies and UX analysis solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract and retrieve data sets for improving software and making data-driven decisions.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and external agencies.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a creative, innovative mindset to drive product enhancements and solutions to customer challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in product development, roadmaps, and documentation.

**Nice to have**:

- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
