**The Neighbourhood Assistant role**:
We're looking for **eight **Neighbourhood Assistants who will provide additional support in delivering a proactive reassuring practical and visible customer focused estate management service and make a real difference in the communities that we manage.
Our Neighbourhood Assistants will also be supported as part of your personal growth and development to gain an in depth knowledge and experience in Neighbourhood Housing Management.
**Key duties and responsibilities of our Neighbourhood Assistant**:
- Assist in the delivery of a highly visible, effective & proactive tenancy & estate management service
- Assist Neighbourhood Teams in identifying vulnerable clients by the completion of support checklists and action plans, either at sign up or whenever support issues become apparent
- Provide additional support and work with community groups and representatives to agree local priorities in the area (e.g., Tenants and Resident Associations, Your Community Your Say groups, Tenant Voice Panel)
- Assist in providing tenancy related support and making appropriate internal and external referrals within agreed timescales and as agreed with the Neighbourhood Team Leader
- Participate in estate inspections including Independent Living Schemes and communal areas to complete and monitor action plans and make referrals to other service providers where necessary
- Develop a thorough local knowledge of residents and community issues and contribute to feeding this into appropriate meetings/agencies (e.g., multi agency meetings, lettings, repairs, Safer Neighbourhood Service and Police etc.)
**What we’re looking for in our Neighbourhood Assistant**:
- 4 GCSE’s (Grade A-C) _or _other equivalent qualification _or_ relevant experience
- Ability to communicate with residents and colleagues effectively
- Ability to provide customer focussed and responsive services
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to look for solutions and opportunities in a changing environment
