Aerospace Engineer

We dreamed about touching the stars, and we did it If you don't know us yet, we are an engineering and technological innovation company working on several areas, including the space sector, where we lead projects in flight segment activities, satellite navigation, ground segment, data processing or space robotics among many others.

We are looking for a specialized engineer with relevant experience in machine vision systems both in classical 2D and 3D techniques and in Deep Learning and machine learning algorithms to join as a project engineer with technical responsibilities in space robotics projects in the field of the European Space Agency and other international clients.

You will be part of our team, full of talent and desire to innovate, where you will:

- Selection, design and prototyping of image processing pipelines best suited to the project requirements from available technical options
- Design of validation tests
- Analysis and evaluation of algorithms on synthetic and/or real images acquired in the lab
- Profiling of algorithms in prototype phase in order to determine the feasibility of their deployment on the processing architecture selected in each case.
- Supervision/coordination of computer vision tasks entrusted to other members of the project technical team and coordination with the rest of the team for testing or development of the final software.
- Drafting of technical documentation, preparation of presentations and support to the project manager in meetings with the client.

If you want this position to be yours, we would like you to have the following knowledge/experience:
**Required knowledge**:

- Design, development and validation of 2D and 3D machine vision systems using classical techniques.
- Machine learning algorithms / Deep Learning applied to image processing (e.g. CNNs)
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine vision and machine learning systems: C/C++, python etc.
- Basic knowledge applicable to the selection and calibration of optical equipment.
**Valuable knowledge**:

- Deep learning and machine learning applied to other engineering areas (e.g. signal processing).
- Knowledge of frameworks and development libraries for machine learning and deep learning (e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch etc).
- Knowledge of robotic systems, middleware or robotics operating systems.
- Space systems engineering and development standards in space HW/SW projects in ESA domain (ECSS standards)
- Embedded SW development and deployment of image processing solutions on FPGA architectures.
