We are looking for a customer service-driven **Application Engineer to join our 6-member team in Madrid**. You will be responsible for delivering and completing turnkey projects, including inspection, **installation, and commissioning of ComAp controllers.**

You will also support our customers by **providing technical training** and configuring pilot projects.

**What You’ll Do**

As an Application Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering tailored technical solutions and supporting our global partners and customers. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Assisting with** the product specification, installation, commissioning, and training for ComAp controls to meet customer requirements
- **Solving Technical Challenges**: Use simulators and real-world testing to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems
- **Conducting in-house and on-site training** for new and existing customers
- **Cross-Team Collaboration**: Work closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to deliver seamless solutions
- **Knowledge Sharing**:Lead technical workshops and training sessions both internally and externally
- **Traveling**: Support projects and build relationships with customers around Spain and Portugal
- **Translation** of technical and operational documentation from English to Spanish

**What We’re Looking For**
- 3+ years of experience in a similar technical role
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong knowledge of power generation, generator paralleling, switchgear, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar and wind).
- Experience with PLCs, microprocessor-based controls, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CAN Bus, TCP/IP)
- Experience with commissioning from real sites or project
- Willingness to travel around Spain and Portugal, mainly around Madrid
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Spanish
- Active driver with own car willing to use for business trips

**Bonus if you have**
- Hands-on experience designing and commissioning hybrid microgrid systems (on-grid and off-grid)
- Deep understanding of microgrid components: inverters, BESS, PV systems, wind power, and RICE distributed generation
- Proven ability to review and optimize hybrid control system designs
